EI @ Haas strives to generate research that meets high academic standards and is also useful to energy and environmental policymakers in the public and private sectors as well as the general public. EI @ Haas receives substantial funding in support of its research from the California Energy Commission’s Public Interest Energy Research (PIER) program. The EI @ Haas research program is a continuation of the Center for the Study of Energy Markets (CSEM), which operated from 2001 to 2009.
