UC Berkeley and Brookings Present:
Building the Evidence Base for Accelerated Climate Action
September 13, 2018 - 2:30-5:30 pm
Orange Silicon Valley, San Francisco
Recent threats to the Paris Climate Accord have added new urgency to global efforts to address climate change. Effective responses will require stronger coordination between the policy and research communities.
In conjunction with California's upcoming Global Climate Action Summit, UC Berkeley and the Brookings Institution present "Building the Evidence Base for Accelerated Climate Action," to be held on September 13th from 2:30-5:30 pm at Orange Silicon Valley in San Francisco.
A distinguished panel of experts--including researchers from Brookings's Global Economy and Development program, the Center for Effective Global Action (CEGA), and the Energy Institute at Haas--will offer perspectives on the scale and urgency of the challenge as well as opportunities for policymakers and other stakeholders to achieve positive impact at scale. The event will be followed by a reception where GCA summit delegates and other attendees can interact with members of the UC Berkeley and Brookings communities.
